There's a comic book series, ended now but collected in trade volumes, called Strangers In Paradise. It's top shelf stuff about two friends, ones always trying to find happiness the other is a lesbian who pretty much has seen the worst man has to offer. They try to survive life and each other. Funny, sad and thought provoking all at once.
Oh, and it's nice to have finally found you again! Though you probably have NO idea who I am anymore...
